Sammie Seibert attended UC Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a specialization in environmental and psychological literature. She has written articles for both fashion and travel websites, but she is excited to finally research and write about the arts. Her interest in art periods and styles is wide but she especially likes learning about the Pre-Raphaelites and mythology inspired art. Some of her favorite works of art include Water Lilies by Claude Monet, The Lovers by Rene Magritte, and The Kiss by Gustav Klimt.

Where is your happy place?

A bubble bath with a good book or in a movie theater with tons of candy.

What could you give a presentation on for forty minutes without preparation?

Why we don’t deserve dogs: A one hundred part seminar on good boys (and girls).

If you could have your portrait made by any artist, whom would you choose, and why?

I would love to have a portrait by Gustav Klimt. The gold leaf mesmerizes me and the curves and bright colors in his paintings give them a whimsical air. They often remind me of fairy tales or magical realism.
