T-Swift’s new music video for Bad Blood is amaaaazing. As huge fans of kick-ass women we loved seeing these lovely ladies kicking ass. It features a cavalcade of superstars including but not limited to: Cindy Crawford, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, Lena Dunham, Serayah, Cara Delevingne, Jessica Alba, and Mariska Hargitay.
There are obviously many sci-fi and action movie influences, however we couldn’t help but notice the bevy of art history references. Can we predict an art influence in Tay-Tay’s next music video? Check them out:
Slay-Z/supermodel Gigi Hadad creates an exact copy of The Painter and His Pug by William Hogarth at the Tate Britain … right down to the thigh-high boots and mechanized compact.
Here T and Homeslice/supermodel Martha Hunt pretend to be Frida Kahlo’s double self portrait The Two Fridas at the Museum of Modern Art Mexico.
Here are Taylor and Knockout/yet another supermodel-bff Karlie Kloss beating the crap out of each other. Throw your weight behind it, ladies! Taylor has been spending too much time at the gym with George Bellows. He created two paintings of boxing matches: Stag at Sharkey’s at the Cleveland Museum of Art and Dempsey and Firpo at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
And finally that awesome last scene! Everyone knows cool guys don’t look at explosions, the more you ignore it the cooler you look!
Tay-Tay leaves behind a land scorched by raging feminism, perfect lipstick, and stilettos much like The Triumph of Death by Pieter Bruegel the Elder at the Prado National Museum.
