Ushio Shinohara soaks sponge-covered boxing gloves in paint and just goes at it with the canvas.

He wears goggles during the process and it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

He likes to not wear a shirt when doing these kinds of paintings and with good reason; laundry would be a nightmare!

At 80-years-old, he still does live performances and will reward assistants with boxing painted shirts that he makes on the spot.

It’s especially entertaining to watch Shinohara take about a minute to make one of these pieces. I love how he signs the piece with his foot.
