More about The Fight between Aeneas and King Turnus, from Virgil’s Aeneid

You can consider The Fight Between Aeneas and King Turnus a Baroque Rumble in the Jungle. Though there was a lot more drama here than between Foreman and Ali.
Turnus, the dude about to be stabbed to death, decided to start a war with Aeneas and the Trojans after the love of his life became engaged to a Trojan. This was a pretty acceptable reason to start a war back in those days, and you didn't even have to lie about weapons of mass destruction.
King Turnus was a great fighter himself, but no match for the brute Aeneas. Their showdown is the final scene of the book "The Aeneid." Aeneas chases Turnus around and around before finally catching up to him. He thinks about sparing Turnus, but then remembers that the scoundrel killed a Trojan prince. And nobody messes with the Trojans. Needless to say, the sequel to this painting would be R-rated for violence and gore.
