Saher left her lifelong home of Lahore, Pakistan to get a Master’s degree for free. The result was groundbreaking: upon her mandatory return to Lahore (thanks, Fulbright) she began working as visiting faculty at a local university, gained 15 lbs and made several of her students cry.
